Last updated: September 2026 · Applies to the public testnet at staterfi.com
StaterFi ("we," "us," the "StaterFi team") is an early-stage, pre-launch software project building a non-custodial, Bitcoin-first lending protocol. As of this version of these Terms, StaterFi has not been incorporated as a legal entity. This site currently operates a public testnet only: all tokens, balances, and transactions you see are simulated using free test assets with no monetary value. No real deposits are accepted.
The StaterFi smart contracts are non-custodial: nobody on the StaterFi team can access, move, freeze, or recover funds held in a user's wallet or in the protocol's contracts. Every action requires your own wallet signature. We do not hold your private keys or recovery phrase, and we will never ask for them.
The site and contracts are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of displayed rates or figures (which are illustrative on the public-facing marketing pages), or that the software is free of defects.
Nothing on this site or in the protocol constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Interest rates, loan-to-value ratios, and fee figures shown are illustrative and subject to change. If StaterFi ever accepts real deposits, borrowing against volatile collateral will carry real liquidation risk — never deposit or borrow more than you can afford to lose.
You agree not to use the site or contracts to violate any applicable law, attempt to gain unauthorized access to StaterFi systems, interfere with other users, or knowingly exploit a vulnerability for personal gain rather than responsible disclosure. If you discover a security issue, please report it to staterfisupport@gmail.com rather than exploiting it.
You may not use StaterFi if you are located in, or a resident of, a jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are on a sanctions list maintained by the U.S., EU, UN, or other applicable authority. You are responsible for determining whether your use of this software is lawful in your jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms as the project evolves, particularly once a legal entity is formed and ahead of any mainnet launch. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the StaterFi team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this pre-launch, testnet software, including loss of test assets, data, or access.
